Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of improvements to 23rd Street (from Bergenline Avenue to New York Avenue and from New York Avenue to Palisade Avenue) and 24th Street (from Bergenline Avenue to New York Avenue and from New York Avenue to Palisade Avenue). The work includes removal of existing curb and sidewalk, construction and installation of new scored concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, scored concrete driveways, decorative granite sidewalk bands, shade trees, 3'x3' and 4'x4' square granite block tree wells, resetting of window well grates, resetting inlets, resetting manholes, cellar door replacement, traffic striping, speed humps, full depth pavement repair, HMA milling and paving, and other improvements shown within the construction plans. All work must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the contract documents in the designated manner, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project name, and accompanied by a statement of consent of surety and a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, up to a maximum of $20,000. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a labor and material (payment) bond for the full project amount. Contractor must submit one original proposal package and two complete copies of the bid package in the same sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities, and bidders must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Such request shall be in writing , addressed to the Owner representative stipulated in the specification . In order to be given consideration , a written request must be received at least seven ( 7 ) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bid .
