A. Project Identification Dolores Huerta Elementary School Roof Replacement of Administration/Library Building SFUSD Project No. 12322 B. Project Location: 1. 65 Chenery Street, San Francisco, California 94131 2. District: San Francisco Unified School District C. Description of Work: 1. Demolition work, but is not limited to: removal of existing metal roof and associated underlayment, roof insulation, gutters, downspouts and sheet metal flashings and trims. 2. New Work, but is not limited to: standing seam metal roof, roof insulation, underlayment, gutters, gutter screens, downspouts, sealants, sheet metal flashings and trims, painting, and all other associated work to complete the job. D. All descriptions or "general summaries" of the work noted in this section, or elsewhere within the contract documents, are without force and effect on the contract work described and indicated in detail in the construction plans and specifications. These descriptions and summaries are for general reference and descriptive purposes only and in no way offer the complete and concise description of all the work required by the contract documents. The estimated construction value of the work is $280,000.00. The scope of work includes the roof replacement of the Administration/Library Building at Dolores Huerta Elementary School. Work to be performed generally includes demolition such as removal of the existing metal roof and associated underlayment, roof insulation, gutters, downspouts, and sheet metal flashings and trims. New work includes installation of a standing seam metal roof, roof insulation, underlayment, gutters, gutter screens, downspouts, sealants, sheet metal flashings and trims, painting, and all other associated work to complete the job. Instructions to bidders: - Bid proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the District and must conform with and be responsive to the Bid and Contract Documents. - Each bid must be accompanied by the required Bid Bond Security, Subcontractors List, Non-Collusion Declaration, Statement of Bidders Qualification, and all other required items. - Each bidder and its subcontractors must pay prevailing wage rates as determined by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations. - Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with contractor registration provisions and must be properly licensed (Class B or C-39 Contractors License). - Each bid proposal must be accompanied by bid security of not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. - Bid proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of ninety days after the bid opening. - Attendance at the mandatory job walk is required for general contractors to be eligible to bid. - The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities. - Bidders must participate in the District's Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program, which establishes a three percent (3%) participation goal for DVBEs, and submit DVBE Worksheets demonstrating compliance. - Bid proposals will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive total bid. - All other required procedures, forms, and instructions are outlined in the bid and contract documents.
