Renovation of a communication facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.
The project will upgrade the 12,000-volt (12kV) infrastructure, including electrical medium voltage (MV) switchgear and cables from Station BB to Stations AR and AM. The upgrades are intended to improve resiliency and redundancy of the MV infrastructure system that powers facilities in the North Field and East Field areas of the Airport. Majority of the project scope is upgrading underground and above ground 12kV infrastructures for Stations BB, AM, AR and other parts of the 12kV distribution system. Additionally, project includes low voltage, architectural, and mechanical system upgrades within the building. Scope of Work: 1. Field investigate AOA manholes 2. Demo and install new 12kV feeders within landside and airside o From Station BB to Station AM o From Station BB to Station AR o From Station AR to Station NP (Partial) o From Station BB to Station NB (Partial) o From Station AM to Advanced Water Treatment Plant 3. Utility locate, pothole, and install duct bank + replace select manhole lids 4. Install new MV switchgear extension of Station BB, new protection relays in (E) Station BB switchgear, new battery system 5. Other upgrades within Station BB building such as lighting, access doors and controls, HVAC ductwork, and other miscellaneous electrical work 6. Power System Study Bidders must submit their Bids through the Airport's e-Procurement portal by the designated deadline, with all required documents uploaded in PDF format. The original Bid Forms and Bid security must also be sent by U.S. Mail in a sealed envelope. The project requires a California Class "A" or "C-10" license at the time of Bid. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 10% of the Contract Sum. All bid preparation details are set forth in Document 00 21 13 (Instructions to Bidders). Pre-bid meeting participation is recommended but not mandatory. 1.04 Estimate :- The estimated cost of construction is $23,800,000 - $27,700,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contract Time is 1200 consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed.
