Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The work includes furnishing of all materials and equipment and performance of the following work, according to the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents (PS & CD). The design of this project was partially funded through the United States Department of Transportations Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Pro-gram (RTA). The project con-sists of the roadway reconstruc-tion of approximately 0.65 miles of roadway on Centralia Street (From Devendorf Street to STH 67/S Lincoln Street) including full roadway reconstruction-in-cluding excavation to meet the new proposed roadway profile, new aggregate base, curb & gut-ter, sidewalk along the corridor, and roadway surface. Two sep-arate parallel watermains will be replaced along the corridor - an existing well line from Devendorf to Church Street, and the main distribution line from Devendorf St to S Lincoln St. Water later-als and sanitary laterals will be replaced throughout the corridor. Storm Sewer will be replaced along the entire corridor, with connections into a major city outfall point. The storm sewer work will also include an underd-rain storm sewer system that will. be installed within the terrace for residential connection of sump pumps. The project will also in-clude new pavement markings, signage, and restoration.Included in the project are three additional work areas, including the patching of portions of Spen-cer Street and Getzen Street, as well as the grouting of the Sani-tary laterals on Westward Drive. Major work items for the Base Bid and approximate quantities include: 4,000 SY of concrete sidewalk and driveways, 7,600 LF of Curb and Gutter, 3.700 Tons of HMA Pavement, 6,700 LF of Watermain pipe, 5,100 LF of Storm Sewer, and 6,300 SY of seeding and landscape res-toration. Contrac-tors who have submitted pre-qualification statements to the City of Elkhorn, for this calendar year and for work specific to this project, shall state this on their Bidders Qualification Statement form and prequalification forms will be reviewed. The Owner re-serves the right to reject the bid of any Bidder who has been de-termined to be unqualified. As a part of their Bids, Bidders shall submit a full and complete list of: 1) all of the proposed Sub-contractors, and 2) the class of work which each will perform. The selected Contractor shall not alter this list without the writ-ten consent of the Owner. The PS & CD require that the se-lected Contractor and Subcon-tractor(s) furnish a Certificate of Insurance. All Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Elkhorn, in the amount equal to five percent of the bid. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive on not waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any proposal, which they deem most favorable to the interests of the Owner.
