Site work for a golf course in Troy, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course.
The Board of Park Commissioners for the Miami Shores Golf Course is seeking proposals from qualified applicants to handle the placement of new Tee Signs at the Miami Shores Golf Course, as well as new additional signage. There will be an initial three-year agreement, with three one-year mutually agreeable renewal options. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the City. The Tee Signs / additional signage are to enhance the Miami Shores Golf Course , and to complement and enhance the golf experience . The design / final colors as appearing on the signs / spacing must be approved by Board of Park Commissioners upon recommendation of the Director of Golf . It is understood that the benefit to the Miami Shores Golf Course is having the Tee Signs / additional signage to assist and inform golfers . The benefit to the vendor shall be the proceeds from the advertising that will also be on the Tee Signs / additional signage , and which will be sold by the vendor . The Miami Shores Golf Course is open to persons of all ages and actively supports junior golf . Therefore , all advertising must be suitable for all ages . The Tee Signs / additional signage will be placed at the direction of the Director of Golf . Maximum number of tee marker signs : Allowable dimensions of tee marker sign : 20 " x 30 " 18 Additional Signage , with the advertising on each sign taking up approximately 25 % or less of the total space of each sign : 1. Rules / 1st and 10th Tee Sign - This sign would be stationed where carts diverge to head to the 1st and 10th tee boxes . It acts as a directional sign as well as a course rules sign . It is made of a material called High Density Urethane and it is 38" wide by whatever height it needs to be to post all the rules (approximately 4 to 4.5 feet tall ) 2. Course Layout / Welcome Sign - This sign would be placed in front of the building either in the main island with the new fountain or next to the walkway that leads toward the pro shop . It shows the course layout and acts as a welcome sign for the facility . It is also made from High Density Urethane , is 48 " wide and approximately 4 to 5.5 feet tall depending on the shape of the golf course and our logo set up in the design . 3. Food Sign - This sign would be placed behind the 8th green and act as a reminder sign that customers can call ahead and place a food order with The Shoreline . Courses use these signs to help reduce the amount of time a group spends " on the turn " getting their food . This sign would be the same size and material as sign # 1 . 4. Driving Range Rules Sign - This sign would be stationed on the outside of the shed at the driving range . It would outline the rules for using the driving range . It would be the same material and roughly the same size as sign # 1 (depending upon how many rules are listed on it ). The vendor will submit proposed tee marker colors with the proposal . It is recommended that proposed colors be compatible with the golf course . Samples of the colors shall be included with the submittal of the proposal , as well as the manufacturer's identification code for the colors submitted . Final determination regarding the colors shall be made by the Board of Park Commissioners . No more than 30 % of the total space of each Tee Sign shall be advertising . No more than 25 % of each Additional Signage shall be advertising . All signs shall have the advertising portion located at the bottom of the sign . The vendor will not enter into an agreement to use advertising by a competing golf course / club or driving range . Only one tee marker sign or one Additional Sign per advertiser will be permitted ; however , the City may allow additional signs per advertiser only if there are signs for which advertisers have not been obtained at the conclusion of the solicitation for advertisers . Questions regarding the proposal are to be submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Service and Safety , City Hall , 100 S. Market Street , Troy , Ohio 45373 or by phone at 937-335-1725 .
