Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 3,500-square-foot municipal facility; and 4,800-square-foot library.
The scope of work includes the removal of existing carpeting and replacement with carpet tile (approximately 4,800 square feet) for the Green Tree Borough Library. There are add alternates for the replacement of approximately 3,500 square feet of carpet for Green Tree Borough Assembly and Executive Session meeting rooms. A Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Borough. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. For contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
