Provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace the existing roof. Location-1200 New Stine Road Bakersfield CA 93309 Bid Bond: 10.00% Payment Bond: 100.00% Performance Bond: 100.00% License Requirements: C39 Other instructions: In the event you are unable to download and/or print electronic copies, the bid documents will be available for pickup at the Business Services Office. Please contact Kristan McWhorter at 661-827-3208 to schedule a pickup time. DVBE (3%) 1. Work of this contract shall be done as shown in the Bid Documents. Contractor shall include all mobilization and demobilization costs necessary to comply with the project schedule. 2. Each area of work must be manned continually as scheduled until this Bid Number portion of the work is complete so that work of other trades may proceed on schedule. 3. Provide all notifications, permits, submittals, equipment identification, materials, labor transportation, appliances, testing certification and security necessary for the execution of work in this Bid Number and as shown in the Specifications. Contractor is responsible for securing all tools, equipment and stored materials until such materials are installed and accepted. 4. Provide notification at least 48 hours in advance of required observation for inspection (if applicable). All inspection requests shall be scheduled through the Project Manager. 5. Provide temporary power (generators, cords, etc.) to perform work of this Bid Number. Power supply may be limited at site locations. Contractor will be required for their own source of power where not available. 6. Provide temporary task lighting as needed to perform work of this Bid Number. 7. Contractor will provide trash container(s) for general construction waste. Contractor generating construction waste such as wood, metal, concrete, asphalt, plaster, CMU block will be responsible for containing materials onsite and legally disposing material offsite. Contractor shall separate and recycle construction waste. Contractor is to maintain records and provide them to the Project Manager indicating how much solid waste was generated and how much of this was delivered to a recycling center. 8. Provide weekly removal of all construction materials, debris and waste generated by this Bid Number. 9. Provide weekly removal of all concrete waste generated by this Bid Number including clean-out from ready-mix trucks. Provide truck washout areas per SWPP Plan or BMP. Location(s) of truck washout area must be approved by the Project Manager. 10. Provide dust control for all work relating to this Bid Number. 11. Prime Contractor is responsible for hauling and legal disposal off-site of all excess excavation spoils generated by this Bid Number/Bid Package. 12. Provide traffic control flagmen, in front and behind, every truck, vehicle, piece of equipment, etc. on the project outside of construction fencing, whether on-site or off-site when any students or staff are on campus. This applies to contractor owned, operated, or supervised equipment, including delivery trucks or vehicles. 13. Should Contractor trenches or other excavations fill partially or completely with water due to any weather conditions, ground water, site drainage, or other conditions, Contractor shall immediately and continuously pump the water from such trenches and excavations to an appropriate drainage receptacle in accordance with the Best Management Practices of the SWPPP in effect. Thereafter Contractor shall immediately "muck-out" and remove soft or unsuitable soils as required by any inspector having jurisdiction over the work including Project Manager. ALTERNATE BIDS: There are no alternate bids at this time. ROOFING: 1. Provide clean-up, broom sweep, and washing concrete and asphalt concrete paved areas, removing tire marks caused by operations of this Bid Number on concrete areas. 2. Provide backing acceptable to roofing manufacturer for all roof jacks and/or other penetrations. 3. Provide installation of shaped wood nailer at roof edges and parapets. 4. Provide all wall flashing, expansion joints, foam seal joints and covers as indicated or required by the contract documents. 5. Provide TPO roofing as specified. 6. Provide non-lead pans in roof drain sumps that are compatible with the roofing system and approved by the manufacturer. 7. Provide composition base flashings. 8. Furnish and install cant strips. 9. Provide TPO roof flashing of all roof mounted curbs, platforms, etc. 10. Provide all specified non-corrosive fasteners and nails for TPO roofing system work. 11. This contractor shall conduct fasteners pullout test in accordance with the latest revision of the SPRI/ANSI fastener pullout standard. 12. Provide rigid insulation for all new roofing shown on drawings. 13. Provide dens-deck/OSB as indicated in drawings and specifications. 14. Provide rigid insulation crickets at roof-mounted equipment as required. 15. Provide roof jacks at all roof penetrations. 16. Provide roof walkways and walkway protection. 17. Provide all sheet metal work in relation to roofing. This sheet metal work includes but is not limited, to counter flashing, coping, bird spikes deterrents, fascia, gravel stops, roof joint corner flashing, gutters, eave and rake flashing, pitch pockets, all reglets, all cap flashing, gutter shrouds, scuppers and flashing at metal decking per spec 07600. 18. Provide all miscellaneous sheet metal materials and accessories such as fasteners, bituminous coating, mastic tape, elastomeric sealant, epoxy seam sealer, adhesives, polyethylene underlayment, bird spikes and metal accessories. 19. Provide sheet metal cap for electrical and mechanical equipment platforms, and other roof mounted equipment, etc. 20. Provide reglets and counter flashing. Reglets on CMU and concrete walls or buildings are to be saw cut into the CMU or concrete U.O.N. Re-grout or caulk as shown. WORK BY OTHERS: 1. Abatement and Roof Removal.
