The scope of work consists of demolition of existing fence, surface, and asphalt base; installation of new aggregate base, concrete pad, surfacing, chain link fence and gates, grading, storm utilities, and seeding. This is a lump sum general contract. Bidders must refer to the drawings and specifications for the complete scope of work. Each bid is to be submitted in duplicate on the provided form, in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project name. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid (certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or surety company bond) or 100% bid guaranty bond must accompany each bid. Bids must remain valid for sixty days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, and extend the bid receipt deadline. Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting, although it is not mandatory. Contract documents can be inspected at specified locations or purchased from the designated reprographics company. Each bidder is responsible for shipping costs of contract documents.
