Renovation of a museum in Lima, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Services are requested for the Schoonover Observatory Telescope System as described in the proposal, plans, and specifications. The work must comply with prevailing wage rates for public improvements in Allen County and the City of Lima, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. Proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope, properly marked with the project name, to the Auditor of the City of Lima, Ohio, attention Purchasing Department. Proposals not properly marked may not be received before the deadline and could be disqualified. The proposal must be accompanied by a proposal bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the City, or by certified check on a solvent bank. The bond amount shall be 100% of the proposal, and the certified check amount shall be 10% of the proposal, payable to the City of Lima, Ohio. The City reserves the right to waive any proposal or process irregularities, and to reject any or all proposals as determined appropriate in its sole discretion. Proposals will be evaluated using a best-value methodology considering both technical merit and cost. This is not a low-bid procurement; the owner may select the proposal offering the best overall value.
