The Consultant, at a minimum, must achieve the requirements of the Scope of Work. Additionally, Proposers may also propose alternate solutions to the Scope of Work requirements. The project consists of four (4) phases: evaluation, design, bidding support, and construction phase services. TASK 1: Preliminary Engineering Design 1.1 - Project Start-up a. Initial Kick-Off Meeting - The EOR will organize an initial kick-off meeting with Public Utilities Division (PUD) staff to review the project scope, project objectives/goals, project standards, and project schedule for completing the work; this effort should also include the review of available fund sources. The Engineer of Record (EOR) team shall prepare a project agenda and written meeting minutes summarizing the discussion and project action plan. b. Utility Record Drawings - The EOR team will review the Collier County Water Sewer District (CCWSD's) utility record drawings and other documents related to the project prior to the kick-off meeting. c. Initial Project Timeline - EOR team will prepare an initial project timeline and submit to PUD staff at the Initial Kick-Off Meeting. The EOR team shall update the schedule throughout the duration of the project and shall provide a copy of the updated schedule to PUD staff at their request. The purpose is to obtain proposals from qualified consulting firms for professional engineering services for the evaluation, design, and replacement of emergency power generators at the North County Regional Water Treatment Plant, South County Regional Water Treatment Plant, and Carica Pump Station. The consultant is required to provide a cost-effective design to meet the facilities' emergency standby power supply needs. The design must include an opinion of probable construction cost, a recommended implementation plan to ensure emergency power during replacement, and expectations for the construction schedule. Proposers must meet the requirements specified in the scope of services or work. The County is seeking proposals from highly experienced and professional consulting firms for professional engineering services related to the evaluation, design, and replacement of the emergency power generators at the North County Regional Water Treatment Plant (hereinafter, the "NCRWTP"), located at 8005 Vanderbilt Beach Road, the South County Regional Water Treatment Plant (hereinafter, the "SCRWTP"), located at 3851 City Gate Drive, and Carica Pump Station, located at 7200 Goodlette Frank Road . The Consultant shall provide the most cost-effective option design to meet the facility's emergency standby power supply requirements. The design shall include an opinion of probable construction cost, a recommended implementation plan to ensure emergency power during the generator replacement process, and expectations for the construction schedule.
