Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Maplewood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work generally consists of but is not limited to furnishing and installation of a prefabricated building, construction of an approximately 280 square foot concrete pad, furnishing and installing underground communications and electrical conduits, 6" PVC sanitary sewer pipe, bollards, and excavation at the General Office Building located at 180 Boyden Avenue in Maplewood, NJ. All work must be in conformance with the specifications provided in the Bid Documents. Bidders must be prequalified for "BC" Building Construction (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) and "GC" General Contractor for an amount of work that is equal to or greater than their bid amount. A minimum rating of "H" ($750,001 to $1,000,000) is suggested. Prequalification forms are required if not currently prequalified or if prequalification has expired. Late prequalification submissions will not be considered. Contractors must bring and wear their own safety apparatus including hard hats, reflective vests, and hard toed shoes/boots for site visits. Attendance at both the pre-bid conference and site visit is strongly recommended. The bid must be uploaded prior to the specified time. Bids will be opened and read publicly. Contractors must take steps to ensure that Small Business Enterprises (SBEs)/Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (DVOBs) have the opportunity to participate in the contract, with a five percent (5%) goal for Category 4 SBE/DVOB participation. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price is required. Compliance with applicable equal opportunity and affirmative action regulations is required.
