Sealed bids are invited for drainage improvements and athletic facility upgrades at DeHart Park in Maplewood, New Jersey. The project includes the removal of the existing softball facility to allow for reconfiguration of the recreation space, installation of new and modified fencing, and enhanced stormwater management measures to reduce ponding, improve runoff conveyance, and comply with applicable regulations. Athletic fields that are disturbed by the work will be regraded and restored to promote positive drainage, improve playability, and provide safer, more resilient turf for community use. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes (outer and inner), both clearly labeled with the words CONTRACT BID DOCUMENTS, the name of the project, the bidder's name and address, and the date and time of bid opening. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, and submit a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Division of Revenue, along with a disclosure statement listing the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation or partnership who own ten percent or more. Bids will be rejected if this disclosure statement is not included. Bidders must also pay the prevailing wage rate as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Industry for the project, pursuant to the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963). The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities and to accept any bid(s) deemed in its best interest.
