Site work for a water / sewer project in Lafayette, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Reference Number 0000415746 The purpose of this solicitation is to install track drains for the outdoor waterslides to manage splash-out and reduce water erosion on the pool deck. The preferred approach is to connect the new track drains to the pools filtration system, ensuring proper water recirculation and filtration. As an alternate option, contractors shall also provide pricing and design for connecting the track drains to the existing stormwater drainage system, including any required permitting. This project includes all labor, materials, equipment, coordination, and documentation necessary for the installation and successful integration of the new track drain system with existing site utilities. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Question Deadline 03/20/2026 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes, No inquiries will be accepted after the date and time indicated in Section 1.2., Schedule of Activities. Where appropriate, inquiries should include references to any relevant Section/paragraph of the solicitation. Overview Under the base bid, the Contractor shall design and construct a track drain system that connects directly to the Lazy River's existing filtration system. This connection ensures that splash-out water collected at the waterslide runouts is recirculated and properly filtered in accordance with applicable pool health and safety codes and relevant industry standards. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide a complete design for the track drain system, including layout, pipe sizing, slope, and integration points with the Lazy River filtration system. Design documents shall be prepared prior to construction and submitted to the City for review and approval before work begins. The Contractor shall perform all of the following work as part of the base bid: 1. Furnish and install track drains at the waterslide runout locations, including all frames, grates, channel bodies, and end caps appropriate for aquatic and pool deck environments. 2. Perform all concrete demolition necessary to accommodate the installation of track drains, piping, and associated components without damaging adjacent structures, existing utilities, or pool shell integrity. 3. Excavate and trench as required for all underground piping and fittings connecting the track drain system to the Lazy River filtration system. 4. Furnish and install all piping, fittings, couplings, transitions, valves, and cleanouts required for a complete and functional connection to the filtration system. 5. Ensure all transitions and tie-in connections to the existing filtration system are properly sized, sealed, and compatible with the current system's capacity and operational requirements. 6. Restore all disturbed concrete areas through proper forming, finishing, and curing, ensuring the repaired deck surface matches the surrounding pool deck in texture, elevation, and appearance to the greatest extent practicable. 7. Confirm that all drainage grades and slopes are designed and installed to direct water efficiently into the track drain system without ponding or backflow. 8. Coordinate all work with City staff to minimize disruption to facility operations, scheduling work during approved timeframes. 9. Comply with all applicable local, state, and industry codes, including those governing public pool facilities, water quality, and pool deck construction. ALTERNATE BID - STORMWATER DRAINAGE CONNECTION Overview As an alternate to the base bid, the Contractor shall provide a separate, complete pricing proposal for connecting the track drain system to the existing stormwater drainage system at the aquatic facility. This option must be fully independent in pricing and design from the base bid and must address all requirements specific to stormwater discharge, including permitting, backflow prevention, and routing. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide a complete design for the alternate track drain system layout, including routing of drainage lines to the stormwater system, pipe sizing, and connection details. Design documents shall be submitted to the City for review and approval prior to commencement of any work under this option. The Contractor shall perform all of the following work as part of the alternate bid: 1. Furnish and install track drains at the waterslide runout locations, including all frames, grates, channel bodies, and end caps appropriate for aquatic and pool deck environments. 2. Perform all concrete demolition necessary to accommodate the installation of track drains, piping, and associated components without damaging adjacent structures, existing utilities, or pool infrastructure. 3. Excavate and trench as required for all underground piping and fittings connecting the track drain system to the existing stormwater drainage infrastructure. 4. Furnish and install all piping, fittings, couplings, transitions, valves, and cleanouts required for a complete and functional connection to the stormwater system. 5. Design and install all required backflow prevention measures to prevent stormwater from entering the track drain system or the pool deck drainage infrastructure under any flow condition. 6. Determine, plan, and execute all routing necessary to connect the track drains to the nearest compatible stormwater drainage point, accounting for grade, existing utilities, and site constraints. 7. Obtain all required permits from the City and any applicable regulatory bodies prior to commencing work under this option. There is no cost for Lafayette issued permits for work on City owned facilities. 8. Restore all disturbed concrete areas through proper forming, finishing, and curing, ensuring the repaired deck surface matches the surrounding pool deck in texture, elevation, and appearance to the greatest extent practicable. 9. Confirm that all drainage grades and slopes are designed and installed to direct water efficiently into the track drain system without ponding or backflow. 10. Coordinate all work with City staff to minimize disruption to facility operations, scheduling work during approved timeframes. 11. Comply with all applicable local, state, and industry codes governing public pool facilities, stormwater management, and pool deck construction.
