Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Work to be done under the Contract consists of two parts: Part 1 - City Funded Work and Part 2 - Manitoba Hydro Funded Work. Part 1 includes asphalt reconstruction on Johnson Avenue E (Gateway Rd to Grey St), Kent Road (Chalmers Ave E to Keenleyside St), and Litz Place (Appleton St to Henderson Hwy), and pavement rehabilitation on Greenlea Cove (Gilmore Ave to Gilmore Ave), Kent Road (Nairn Ave to Talbot Ave and Talbot Ave to Beach Ave), Manhattan Avenue (Keenleyside St to Stapleton St), and Paufeld Drive (Rothesay St to Karen St). Part 2 consists of street lighting renewal on Kent Road (Chalmers Ave to Keenleyside St) and Litz Place (Appleton St to Henderson Hwy). The major components of the work include pavement and sidewalk removal, excavation, installation of sub-base and base materials, installation of curbs, catch basins, subdrains, sidewalks, asphalt placement, adjustment of appurtenances, boulevard restoration, water main and service insulation, and removal and replacement of street lighting. Part 2 is contingent upon approval of sufficient funding from the Province of Manitoba and may be eliminated or reduced if funding is not received. Bids must be submitted online. Question before 17th March 2026. The City intends to award this Contract by May 5, 2026.
