The project consists of tenant improvements for the Ramsay Park Nature/Family Center and includes, but is not limited to: interior carpentry, restrooms renovations to improve ADA compliance, roof replacement including seismic retrofit, partial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades, drywall, and painting. The work must be performed to the satisfaction of the Engineer, in accordance with the plans and specifications, using only materials and workmanship of the first quality unless otherwise specified. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work in a workmanlike manner. The bid proposal must be submitted using the forms provided, showing item prices and totals, and be signed as required. Each proposal must list subcontractors for portions of work exceeding 0.5% of the total bid. A ten percent bid bond is required with each proposal. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the opening time by written request. Proposals may be rejected for alterations, incomplete or unbalanced bids, and irregularities. The contractor must be licensed as a Class B - General Building Contractor at contract award. The awarded contractor shall comply with all applicable California Labor Code requirements, maintain a City business license, and submit all required bonds and insurance certificates. The contractor is responsible for keeping the construction site and material areas clean, performing interim and final clean-up, and following all safety and pollution control regulations.
