The work involves providing labor, equipment, and material for the Proposed Greensboro Water System Critical Needs Infrastructure Improvements Project ~ Phase II / Greensboro Valve Replacement Project - DWSRF PROJECT NO. FS010340-01. The principal item of work is to remove and replace isolation valves. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent of the bid amount, and secure these bonds from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening time, and the Owner may hold bids for sixty days. The contract duration is 30 consecutive calendar days, and liquidated damages will be assessed if this time is exceeded. All applicable federal guidelines must be met as funds for this project are provided through Drinking Water State Revolving Funds. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
