The work consists of the cleaning and cement lining of approximately 14,000 feet of 6-inch and 8-inch existing cast iron water mains in the Town of Hamden, Connecticut. The project also includes the installation of temporary water supply by-pass piping, replacement of customer service connections as necessary, installation of water main piping including valves and fittings, and restoration of roadways, sidewalks and landscaping after performing the work. A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting for bidders only requires a written attendance request submitted in advance. Two forms of identification are required to attend the Pre-Bid meeting. All bidders must complete a Confidentiality Agreement prior to reviewing or purchasing bid documents or attending the Pre-Bid meeting. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form with bid security not less than 5 percent of the bid amount. Successful bidders will be required to provide additional bonds. Bidders and subcontractors must hold or obtain all required licenses. Bidders must comply with non-discrimination, employment practices, prevailing wage requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations. No bid may be withdrawn within 90 days after the bid receipt date. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
