Site work and paving for a road / highway in South Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Award: McNamara Contracting for $2,192,156.41 Cost Range: $2,500,000 - $2,800,000 The work includes the construction of approximately: 1,464 cubic yards of common excavation; 5,000 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 6,385 tons of Class 5 aggregate base; 85 linear feet of storm structures (varies); 2,700 tons of bituminous mixtures; 15 storm structures (2'x3'); 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch DIP watermain; 3,500 square yards of turf restoration; and 15,200 square feet of concrete walk. A bid alternate also includes 4,500 square feet of concrete walk, together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with plans and specifications. This project is subject to prevailing wage rates, truck rentals, and responsible contractor certification. Bids must be submitted online through QuestCDN.com by the specified deadline. Only online electronic bids through QuestCDN will be accepted. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a Proposal Bond of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of the City of South St. Paul. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities and informalities, and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if deemed in the owner's best interest. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
