The scope of work is to perform lawn mowing and weed trimming services on school properties. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform these tasks. The contractor is responsible for verifying the areas, sizes, and quantities of the surfaces to be maintained and providing all required services. Grass must be mowed around all buildings, athletic fields, signs, light poles, fences, and any other obstructions to maintain a well-manicured appearance. Work must be completed between 8am and 8pm and shall be performed weekly or about every seven days. The contractor must coordinate with the Maintenance Director to work around scheduled activities and events, adjusting the schedule as needed. Work will commence on or about April 15 and continue until approximately October 15, weather permitting. Mowing operations must not create a hazard or hinder traffic. Equipment must be in good repair to provide a clean, sharp cut at all times. The contractor must inspect for and remove hazardous debris before mowing and direct clippings away from roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and playgrounds. The district will not be responsible for any contractor equipment damages due to obstacles during work. Instructions to bidders: Proposals should include company name, address, contact information, a detailed list of current equipment, a detailed cost estimate with a breakdown of materials, labor, equipment, and any optional items, and a list of subcontractors (if any). Proposals must be submitted by sealed bid no later than the deadline. The district reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities in the process. Proposals will be evaluated based on total cost, adherence to specifications, relevant experience (especially in K12 settings), qualifications of the assigned team, ability to complete the work on time, responsiveness to district officials, and team compatibility. The selected contractor must provide insurance certificates for general and professional liability. Late proposals will not be considered.
