The work consists of implementing water pollution control and job site management; designing and implementing a trench and excavation shoring plan; implementing traffic control measures; providing and implementing a de-watering system and temporary underground pipe bypass; demolition and removal of asphalt concrete and aggregate base; off-haul and disposal of excavated material; demolition and removal of reinforced concrete pipe; coordinating and arranging for delivery, unloading, and installation of the trash capture device; constructing reinforced concrete pipe collars; furnishing, placing and compacting structure backfill, Class 2 aggregate base, and asphalt concrete; and miscellaneous work. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation, and services to complete the project. The contractor must possess a Class A license and be properly licensed at the time of bid and contract award. All bidders must comply with applicable Local, State, and Federal laws and guidelines, including prevailing wage payment, and with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation. Bid proposals from prime contractors that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid networking/contractor conference will be rejected. Participation of disadvantaged/minority/women-owned business enterprises and the hiring of apprentices residing within Alameda County are strongly encouraged.
