The proposed work consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the replacement of the roof at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School (Roof Section 5). Each bid shall be submitted on forms furnished by the architect and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a 100% bid guarantee and contract bond, conforming to the requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, or a certified check in an amount of 10% of the bid. Bids shall be clearly identified as a bid for the work as identified above. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities and to accept the bid and any alternates which may promote the best interest of the Owner. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the bid opening. The Board of Education expects all bidders to be in full compliance with applicable statutory requirements relating to: the licensing of corporations organized under the laws of any other state, the certification of personal property taxes owed to the State of Ohio, and Equal Employment Opportunity. S. B. 102: Prevailing Wage Exemption Law - This project will not require certification and payment of prevailing wage rates. Any proposed Equal or Substitute for a Standard specified in the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Taylor Consulting Group, LLC prior to the bid opening. If the proposal is acceptable, an Addendum will be issued to all Bidders prior to the bid opening.
