The scope of work includes the construction of an aviation fuel facility at Cherokee County Regional Airport. Work categories include airport fueling systems, electrical and controls, electrical equipment and supplies, roadway pavement markings, traffic control devices including signals and signing, general construction, storm drain and paving, electrical installation construction, elevated and ground storage tanks, fencing, guardrails, handrails, stormwater improvements, temporary erosion control, and paving with asphalt or concrete. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bond must be on the form provided with the Contract Documents. The right is reserved, as the Cherokee Aviation Authority may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. Failure to complete punch list items under the specified schedule will result in liquidated damages of $250.00 per calendar day. This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation. The owner has established a contract goal of zero-percent participation for small business concerns owned and controlled by qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE).
