Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available from Remington and Vernick Engineers. Bids must be submitted on the designated bid form, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder’s name, address, and reference to the specific work. Each bid requires a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (but not more than $20,000) of the bid amount. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, with a valid current notice of classification. A Certificate of Consent of Surety stating that a Performance/Payment Bond will be provided if successful is also required. The contract award depends on the necessary funds being provided and the securing of all necessary permits. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening.
