Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Berne, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is for the reconstruction and widening of Van Buren Street from approximately 150 feet west of Schug Street to the Linn Grove Avenue intersection. The work involves demolition of the existing street, extension of the storm sewer system, widening of the road, and construction of curbs and sidewalks, along with all other work required for the completion of the project. Bids are requested for a single prime contract. Bidding instructions include that documents must be obtained through Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. via their web-based service, with non-refundable fees for both digital and printed copies. Partial sets are not available. Bidders must include a return street address with their requests. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Bid security is required as specified. No bids may be withdrawn for at least sixty days after closing time for receipt of bids. Questions pertaining to this project shall be submitted directly to Benjamin H. Adams, P.E. and Ryan N. Marovich, P.E. at Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. Question Deadline 03/24/2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
