The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County, also called Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS), is soliciting proposals for prequalified construction management as agent services. Services shall be performed in accordance with the specifications, terms, general conditions, and attachments (if any). Construction Management as Agent Service Categories include: Systemic/Renovation Projects and New/Replacement Projects. AACPS contemplates making multiple awards for each Service Category. Successful offerors will be selected for placement on a list of prequalified firms based on the evaluation of their proposals. The number of prequalified firms will be determined by AACPS in its discretion. When a project need is determined, AACPS will issue a notification soliciting competitive sealed bids. The Request for Bid will be sent to all awarded prequalified construction managers by category and will have clear and concise instructions with a detailed summary of work. The contract will be a firm, fixed-price contract. Contractors may be removed from the prequalified list for cause. Additional contract awards may be considered through a separate RFP process issued later in the contract term. Offerors should familiarize themselves with the Request for Proposals, including Instructions to Offerors, Checklist, Qualifications, Mandatory Terms and Conditions, and the Qualifications Affidavit. Offerors are responsible for understanding the solicitation and may submit questions to the AACPS Buyer. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond; documentation is required for each project recommended for award and a minimum goal of 15 percent participation from certified Minority Business Enterprises is required per project.
