Sealed bids are requested for the Lakeshore Drive Signalized Crosswalk Project in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, specifically described as CALCASIEU PARISH PROJECT NO. 26-501-0003. All bids must be submitted electronically; paper bids will not be accepted. Electronic bidding requires the installation of the InfoTech Express Sign Tool and the generation of an InfoTech Digital ID for the business' authorized signer. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, provided as an electronic bid bond as described in LSA-R.S. 38:2212E.(1). The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract amount. Contractors must be licensed for the classification of "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction." The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by law. Official action on this bid will be taken within forty-five (45) days, except as may be extended by mutual written consent with the lowest responsible bidder. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to those offered by competitors outside the State.
