The project consists of the reconstruction of the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) at Joseph Y. Resnick Airport in a new location. The base bid includes removal of the existing AWOS and appurtenances, installation of a new AWOS III P/T including testing and commissioning, cable and conduit, directional drilling, handholes, grounding, gravel access road and AWOS site, and fencing. Bid Additive No. 1 includes tree clearing within wetlands and clearing and grubbing outside wetlands. Bid Additive No. 2 includes installation and coordination of weather cameras with the FAA Weather Camera Program. Prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must be bonded and insured as indicated in the contract documents. The project is sales tax exempt. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total maximum bid price.
