The project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the following scope: move all furniture in and out of rooms during pre/post construction, provide wall protection, demo and remove the existing carpet, VCT/LVT, and wall base, remove existing moisture barrier membrane/system to expose subfloor, furnish and install new specified moisture barrier system and provide proper floor preparation for all existing concrete subfloor areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications, fill all subfloor cracks with specified filler as per manufacturer specifications, furnish and install new wood underlayment in all areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications (portable modular classrooms only), and furnish and install new specified entry walk off carpet tile, resilient plank flooring, resilient sheet flooring, top set coved wall base, and all related sundries and accessories. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent contract documents, including instructions to bidders. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. The District shall award the contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder for each individual bid package. There will be one successful bidder for Bid Package #3 based upon the combined total base bid amount only for each individual bid package. Pre-qualification for all bidding general contractors and subcontractors is to be through online portal. If the project has flooring, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing components that will be performed by subcontractors performing under license classifications C-4, C-7, C-10, C-15, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46, then each of those subcontractors intending to bid as a first-tier subcontractor is required to have been prequalified by the District through Quality Bidders. The bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A - General Engineering Contractor, B - General Building Contractor, or C- Commercial Flooring and Floor Covering Contractor (C-15 License). The bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the contract. Bidders and bidders' subcontractors shall comply with registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. Attendance at one mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit is also required. Failure to attend or tardiness will render the bid ineligible.
