The work includes milling and resurfacing of Compton Street from Ruggles to Matteson, curb and gutter replacement, and sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades to meet accessibility requirements. Additional tasks involve pavement marking, minimal tree removal, and turf restoration. An alternate component consists of providing sidewalk quantity and pay items to fill a pedestrian network gap on Roosevelt Street between S. Matteson Street and McKinley Street, with this 850-foot section to be a 5-foot wide sidewalk placed at grade and to be executed under field direction. Prospective bidders are required to obtain and review the bidding documents from the designated website or the issuing office. Registration as a plan holder is encouraged. Only complete sets of bidding documents are available from the issuing office for a non-refundable fee, and addenda will only be distributed through the designated channels. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid or parts of bids deemed in the City's best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for at least 90 days.
