Renovation of a mixed-use development in Center Line, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Center Line Public Schools is requesting bid submittals for the removal of asbestos containing materials within two school buildings prior to floor renovations scheduled for summer work in 2026. The work includes asbestos abatement of asbestos containing carpet, floor tile, and floor mastic (by grinding) in the High School Media Center, and asbestos abatement of gymnasium wood flooring materials with three confirmed asbestos layers, including removal of all floor mastic by grinding, in the Wolfe Middle School Gymnasium. All abatement work must take place within full negative pressure enclosures equipped with decontamination units, and clearance must be achieved as per AHERA TEM requirements, where required. Only bidders who attend the mandatory pre-bid walk through will be permitted to bid. All necessary bid documents will be provided at the walk through. Bidders are instructed to provide one original hard copy bid and two copies, postmarked no later than the bid opening date, in a sealed envelope, addressed as stated. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid price must be included. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. No oral, telephonic, telegraphic, or facsimile proposals will be considered. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted.
