The project includes East Street Pump Station Improvements, specifically replacing all equipment including the standby generator, and East Street Pump Station Force Main Improvements, involving the installation of 3,900 linear feet of new force main. Sealed bids are required in duplicate, plainly marked, and must include a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100% of the total bid. The city may reject any or all bids, waive informality, or accept the bid that serves the best interest of the City. Bidders' attendance at a pre-bid conference is not mandatory and failure to attend does not relieve any obligations under the proposal. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening without permission. This project is subject to Chapter 3.08.090 of the City of Cranston's Code of Ordinances, which require that ten percent (10%) of the dollar value of work performed on the project be performed by minority or women business enterprises The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: East Street Pump Station Improvements _ Force Main Improvements o Installation of approximately 3,900 linear feet of 8-inch C-900 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sanitary force main to replace and extend the East Street Pump Station force main. o Installation of two (2) combination air release valves and manholes to house the valves o Replacement of the existing headwall and associated culvert piping on Mayfield Avenue _ Pump Station Improvements o Mechanical and Electrical Demolition o Provide and install two (2) new sanitary sewage pumps with associated piping and valves o Replace and relocate the existing emergency standby generator o Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements o Startup of new equipment and demonstration of control strategies, and activation of pump station improvements o All related civil/site work o Permanent bypass connections o Temporary bypass pumping Question Deadline 03/31/2026 Any request from a prospective Bidder for the interpretation of meaning of the Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents shall be made in writing to City of Cranston Engineering Division, 1090 Cranston Street, Cranston, Rhode Island
