Renovation of a multi-residential development in Magnolia, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Magnolia Housing Authority seeks sealed proposals from licensed, insured, and FORTIFIED-certified roofing contractors to provide high-wind mitigation roofing services. The goal is to upgrade existing residential structures to meet the FORTIFIED Roof standard as defined by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, to enhance community resilience against severe weather. The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for the full replacement of roofs on all HUD properties, ensuring compliance with all FORTIFIED requirements, including: re-nailing the roof deck with specified ring-shank nails, application of a qualified synthetic underlayment or flashing tape, installation of heavy-duty drip edges and enhanced starter strips, installation of Class 4 impact-rated shingles, and working directly with a third-party FORTIFIED Evaluator for required inspections and final certification. Proposals must include proof of FORTIFIED Professional certification, current state contractor's license and $1M minimum general liability/workers' comp insurance, a portfolio of at least three successfully certified FORTIFIED projects completed in the last 24 months, per-square unit pricing for various material types, and an estimated completion schedule per property. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical expertise, previous performance with IBHS standards, and cost-effectiveness. The Magnolia Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Magnolia Housing Authority (MHA), in collaboration with Simmons Bank, has been awarded a $1,000,000 Federal Home Loan Bank grant to complete the Magnolia Housing FORTIFIED Roofing Project located at 100MeadowbrookLane,Magnolia,Arkansas. The project includes the replacement of roofing systems on sixty-five (65) home and buildings comprising approximately 144 one story and 38 two-story residential units. MHA is soliciting sealed bids from qualified and Certified FORTIFIED Roofing Contractors to perform the work in full compliance with Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) FORTIFIED(TM) Roofing standards and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and requirements. Small, Minority-Owned, Women-Owned, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to submit bids Building Re-Roof Summary: a. Asphalt Shingle roofing b. Equipment, flue and pipe flashings. C.
