Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mount Holly, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

The project involves the construction of approximately 550 linear feet (LF) of new public roadway connecting to Caldwell Drive. The proposed roadway includes a 244 LF 3-span bridge. The proposed roadway will consist of two 13-foot travel lanes and a 10-foot multi-use path to accommodate vehicular, pedestrian, and cyclist traffic. The scope includes associated storm drainage improvements to ensure proper water management, curb ramps for ADA compliance, and the installation of a guardrail where necessary for safety. Additionally, the project includes the installation of approximately 556 LF of 12-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water line partially steel encased and with bridge hangers. This will involve coordination with existing utilities and adherence to specified water service standards . The construction will also require temporary traffic control measures to ensure the safety of workers and the public, as well as the implementation of NCG01 Permit Guidelines. This project covers Phase 2 of a two-phase project. Phase 1 starts at YMCA Drive and construction is mostly complete, lacking only the final asphalt lift. Phase 2 will connect to the southern end of Phase 1 and continue to Caldwell Drive. Final lift of asphalt for Phase 1 is included in this scope of work. The City reserves the right to reject any offer for failure to comply with requirements, may waive minor defects, and may reject all offers or award a contract in its best interest.
