Repair and replacement of insulated glass units in Air Traffic Control Tower cabs at FAA facilities across the Eastern, Central, and Western regions of the United States. Work includes performing and verifying accurate measurements for replacement insulated glass units, removing existing damaged glass while addressing potential lead-painted frames, and properly disposing of removed materials. Contractors must provide and install new insulated glass units sized in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications, with glazing types that may include monolithic glass, insulated glass units, laminated insulated glass units, or laminated glass units. Certain facilities may require installation of electromagnetic interference or radio frequency interference reduction glass. Work must include cleaning of newly installed units according to manufacturer instructions, restoring the project site to its original condition, and providing warranty coverage in accordance with specification 08 88 58. Contractor personnel must meet qualification requirements, including a project manager and superintendent each with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience and certified crane operators meeting USACE EM 385-1-1 standards. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
