Site work for a water / sewer project in West Milford, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes the replacement of the existing sodium silicate tank with a new 10,992-gallon FRP tank to store sodium hypochlorite, new water quality analyzers, two new 12" actuated butterfly valves, all associated instrumentation, and a new control panel. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a bid bond from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey or a certified check in the amount of ten percent of the bid amount, not to exceed twenty thousand dollars. Bid Security must be accompanied by a consent of surety from the surety company. The successful bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company licensed in the State of New Jersey, and the surety company shall also be listed on the latest version of the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. All bidders must comply with New Jersey statutes relative to certification of ability to perform the contract, submit a statement setting forth all stockholders who own a ten percent or greater interest in the firm, and comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, applying the higher of the state or federal wages. Bidders must provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award and, pursuant to Pay to Play Legislation, file an annual disclosure statement on political contributions if receiving contracts in excess of $50,000 from public entities in a calendar year. Additional requirements include compliance with City of Newark Ordinances, City of Newark's Affirmative Action Program, and directives for minority and women's business enterprise participation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder in accordance with applicable law. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
