Sealed bids are requested for furnishing corrugated metal pipe and bands to the Platte County Highway Department. All culvert pipe and bands must conform to the current Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, 2017 Edition, as well as specific Platte County requirements for coupling bands, including minimum length and full width one piece welded lugs, manufacture allowing maximum tightness and seal at both ends, and downward corrugation at joints to maximize seal. Compensation is on a unit price basis, including all preparation, delivery, and compliance with specifications. Materials not meeting specifications must be replaced at the contractor's expense. Within ten days of the award, the successful bidder must enter into contract to fulfill all requirements. The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will consider alternative items. Bids must use forms supplied by the Platte County Highway Department and be submitted in a sealed and endorsed envelope.
