Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the remodel of a data center facility; and fire / police facility.
Question Deadline 04/06/2026 No verbal explanation or instructions will be given in regard to the meaning of the drawings or specifications during the bid period. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before MEP bidding commences. MBE (2%), WBE (11%) The work consists of the addition and replacement of cooling equipment and required ancillary work. The CRAC cooling equipment for the server rooms in Ainsworth Hall and Central Services will be removed and replaced, with two units in each building. Each building will also receive two electric humidifiers. Cooling units are to be added to four BOIS rooms in Ainsworth Hall and one cooling unit in the Security Building. The work includes the removal, replacement, or addition of piping, ductwork, and grilles. Outdoor condensers will require concrete pads, equipment stands, and/or equipment curbs or equipment rails. Bids must be submitted by certified contractors. The project uses a single prime bidding and contracting process, with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions bid first. The lowest, qualified, responsible, certified bidder in each MEP division will be identified and must be included in all general prime contractor bids. General prime contractor bids that do not include the successful MEP bids will be rejected. The state will contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified general prime contractor, who will then subcontract with the successful MEP bidders. Sealed bids must include all required documents and a bid guarantee of 10% of the bid and may be submitted via eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred), mail, or hand delivery. The bidder is responsible for ensuring delivery by the specified time. Bidding documents are only available as electronic PDF files. Base bids will be received as a single lump sum bid for fire protection, plumbing, mechanical (HVAC), and electrical divisions.
