Description

Bidder must be a licensed contractor with the required license classification C-61/D-49 or C-49 and all subcontractors must also hold appropriate licenses to perform the work. All bids must conform to the contract documents. Bidders must submit a list of designated subcontractors as required. Bidder’s security in the amount of at least 10% of the total bid price must be provided in approved forms. Prevailing wage requirements apply, and all contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work. For projects with expenditures of $1,000,000 or more, prime bidders and certain subcontractors must be prequalified if they hold listed license classifications. No bid may be withdrawn for 90 days after bid opening. Separate payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required. Participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises is encouraged at a rate of 3% or a good faith effort must be made. Substitution requests must be submitted on the specified form at least seven business days before bid opening. Bidders are responsible for ensuring all requirements are met before submitting a bid, including prequalification of MEP subcontractors if required.
