The City of Aberdeen will receive sealed Bids which require a trade Contractor to provide the necessary services to furnish and install approximately 1,450 LF of 12" PVC sewer main, approximately 150 LF of 18" PVC sewer main, including 4 lined pre-cast 48" manholes and 3 sewer service laterals (house connections) in the vicinity of South Drive in Aberdeen, Maryland. The project also includes two point repairs on an existing 8" main along with approximately 45,000 SF of asphalt resurfacing and related site restoration work. The contract scope shall also include field verifications, test pitting or surveying, sewer bypass, flow control, dewatering operations, public notices, traffic control and road closures. The City of Aberdeen reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to make an award, if any, that in their opinion will best suit the needs of the City of Aberdeen. A bid bond or a certified check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bid amount is required with the submission of a Bid. As soon as the Bid prices have been compared, the Owner will return the bonds of all except the three (3) lowest responsible Bidders. The bonds of the two remaining lowest responsible Bidders will be retained until the payment and performance bonds have been provided and approved and the Contract Agreement executed, after which the bid bonds will be returned.
