Reference Number 0000416498 The Town of Snowmass Village Public Works - Road Division annually contracts the placement of pavement marking twice a year once to its main roads and some arterial roadways. The first application is in May (Spring) and the second application is in early October (Fall). It is intended that this project will conform to the Town's aesthetic, and design specifications found below. Terms and Conditions 1. The contractor must apply pavement markings between May 13 and June 6, then again September 23 through October 11, unless agreed upon date change by Town Public Works. Weather conditions can also be a time factor which can cause rescheduling. 2. Locations a. Main Roads - Brush Creek Road, Owl Creek Road, Highline, Divide and Carriageway Roads (Double Yellow centerline w/white edging lines). b. Arterial Roads - Pine Crest, Spruce Ridge, Two Creeks, Faraway, Ridge, Meadow, Sinclair, Snowmass Club Circle and Horse Ranch roads. (Double Yellow centerline) arterial roadways to be approved at time of application. 3. All personnel must wear type two traffic safety vests working in roadways. 4. All employees must wear the appropriate personal protection equipment. 5. All vehicles must be legal to use on public roadways or have sign off from town police. 6. Town Road Division will be responsible for sweeping roadways before the scheduled pavement marking will be applied. 7. The contractor shall notify contractor administrator on days applications are being applied. 8. Roadway marking must be coned off until paint is properly dried to ensure that tracking of paint will not occur. 9. All main roadways must be signed with advance warning of "Roadway Marking Being Applied". a. Advance warning signage is required meeting MUTCD standards. 10. Turn lane markings are included in this scope. 11. Before pavement marking can be applied to the pavement, the surface must be dry and temperatures of 50 degrees F and rising are mandatory. 12. Pavement Marking Materials Standard 708.05, or acceptable alternate. 13. The Contractor must have proper equipment to access and efficiently apply pavement marking meeting OHSA safety requirements. 14. Application rate of one gallon per one hundred square feet (.01 gal/sq. ft.) shall be utilized. 15. Thermal Plastic may be used but must be inlayed. 16. Work areas will be maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition. 17. The Contractor shall provide to the Town the services defined in the Special Provisions, referenced and included herein, consistent with the Bid Schedule referenced and included herein. This references the following project within the Town: Road Striping 2026, pursuant to the pricing, representations, and acknowledgements stated in the Contractor's Bid Schedule dated and pursuant to the Project Specifications included in the bid documents. 18. Such services shall include contracting for, coordinating, and scheduling other Contractors or sub-contractors as needed to accomplish the work described in the Special Provisions and the Bid Schedule, irrespective of whether the work performed by these subcontractors are explicitly identified within the proposal. 19. Safety Data Sheet for products you will be applying. The Town of Snowmass Village Public Works - Road Division contracts twice a year for the placement of pavement markings.
