The bids are for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, fees, expertise, and services necessary for the installation of raw water mains, potable water mains, fire hydrants, water service lines, wastewater force mains, reclaimed water mains, and all associated appurtenances. The contract is for a three-year term with no renewals. The contract will be awarded to up to two of the lowest responsive and responsible bidders. All conditions and requirements for bid submission, consideration, and award are contained in the Bid Documents. To submit a bid, vendors must create or activate a Vendor Registration Account through the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) System. All subcontractors must also be registered as vendors in VSS, and all subcontractor agreements must require such registration. The County will not finalize a contract award until it has verified that the bidder and all subcontractors are registered in VSS. Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the County and accompanied by a bid bond security in favor of Palm Beach County in the amount of not less than five percent of the bid price. A public construction bond (100%) will be required of the successful bidder within fourteen calendar days of notification from the County.
