This Request for Proposals is to provide asbestos inspection services for Sunflower County, MS, funded by a HOME Homeowner Rehabilitation Grant. Certification from the Department of Environmental Quality for Asbestos Inspectors must be included with the proposal. The asbestos inspector will perform all necessary inspection services and make recommendations in accordance with state and federal law. The contract will be on a fixed price basis. Proposals must include: qualifications of each staff person to be assigned, experience of the firm including types of project activities undertaken, capacity for performance identifying available staff, and the price to carry out the activity. Proposals will be rated on qualifications (25 points), experience (25 points), capacity (25 points), and price (25 points), for a total of 100 points. Contractual awards will be made to the qualified offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to Sunflower County. Section 3 compliance of the HUD Act, 1968, is required.
