Renovation of a recreation facility in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.

This project was awarded to Vineyard Home Builders for $80,975.19. The project involves the replacement of the platform and completion of related structural maintenance work at the Ocean Park Bandstand in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Licensed and insured contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for this work. Instructions to bidders include obtaining bid documents via email from the procurement office, marking bids clearly as "Ocean Park Bandstand Renovations," and submitting sealed bids by the specified deadline. Bids must include a bid deposit of 5% of the total bid price. The awarded contractor must provide a payment bond totaling 50% of the bid price within ten days of award, certify labor harmony, and ensure all employees have completed at least a 10-hour OSHA-approved construction safety and health course. All bids must be signed by an authorized individual. The Town of Oak Bluffs reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids if it serves the public interest. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates and statutory requirements. Question Deadline 03/26/2026 Questions requiring clarification of bid requirements shall be submitted in writing via email only to the procurement officer at: wbrough@oakbluffsma.gov Services to be rendered include but are not limited to the following: 1. Remove existing 25' x 25' platform and replace with new 25' x 25' platform using 3/4 inch plywood on bandstand in Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs. o Additional option is to add additional platform to the top of existing platform. 2. Install new platform (addition or replacement) with water and leak-proof materials to the inside of the building. The current material used is a waterproof epoxy resin with a layer of flex seal on top of the epoxy resin. Alternative materials that would still be waterproof and more durable than current materials, would be considered. 3. Replace half of 1 rotten post (shown in images below) with new (already purchased by parks department) matching post. 4. Install proper copper flashing on the platform around the edges and on every support post of the roof. 5. Reset the trap door in the center of the platform and flash it properly and the finish on the platform must be slip-proof.
