Furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of the proposed utility relocation as described in the plans and specifications. Sealed proposals will be received for this work. Bidders must inspect the site and inform themselves of local conditions. The time of completion is 75 calendar days, including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guaranty to enter into contract and furnish required bonds if awarded. The successful bidder(s) must provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the contract amount, written by a surety company authorized to do business in Arkansas. Bidders and any subcontractors must have an active Unique Entity Identifier Number through www.sam.gov at the time of bid opening. A contractor’s license is not required to bid, but must be held at the time of contract signing. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 calendar days after the bid closing time. The City of Bodcaw, Arkansas reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award to the bidder(s) who, in the opinion of the Owner, offers the proposal in the best interest of the City. Award may be denied if the Statement of Qualifications is not completed. All proposed subcontractors must be acceptable to the Owner. Applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938, the Work Hours Act of 1962, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 apply.
