The project is Stiern Middle School - Exterior Painting. Bidders are required to possess a BP-01 Exterior Painting (C-33) State of California contractor's license and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Mandatory prequalification applies to all general contractors and certain subcontractors. Bids must be submitted on the District's form and accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's/certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. All workers must be paid not less than the general prevailing wage rate. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Instructions include mandatory prequalification, attendance at a mandatory job walk and site visit, and requirements for completion of bid forms and submission of required securities and certifications.
