The project involves road work for the following locations: Second Street from Clark St to Mark St; Third Street from Clark St to Mark St; Fourth Street from Lyons St Curve to Lyons St; Harrison Street from SR 13 to Lavengood St; Sims Street from Lewis Dr to Lyons St; and all required ADA ramp replacements as listed in the itemized proposal. Construction shall adhere to the 2024 Indiana Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and is scheduled to start after May 1st, 2026, with completion by November 30th, 2026. Bids must include a completed Itemized Proposal, completed Form 96 with required attachments, a Non-discrimination affidavit as mandated by Indiana law, bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the bid (which may be a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check), and other bidding documents as specified in the instructions to bidders. If a bidder withdraws a bid within sixty (60) days after the opening date without Owner consent or fails to execute a satisfactory contract within ten (10) days after acceptance, the bid deposit may be forfeited as liquidated damages. The successful bidder must provide workers' compensation, employee liability insurance, comprehensive public liability and property damage insurance in acceptable amounts and from satisfactory companies, along with performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract sum. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive irregularities.
