Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Valparaiso, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Project has not yet been awarded and a timeline for award has not yet been established ** The project consists of mill and resurface improvements along various streets within the City of Valparaiso as well as ADA improvements, Interlayer Grid, lane striping, sidewalk removal and replacement, curb removal and replacement, storm sewer improvements, traffic signal loop replacement, and other incidental work. Contractor will also be responsible for the maintenance of traffic. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda were received (if issued), and satisfactory bid security. A certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Valparaiso or a bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract amount. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be built under the Contract(s) for which a bid is submitted. Bidders and their subcontractors shall be INDOT prequalified to perform the work specified in these contract documents. Materials shall be supplied by an INDOT certified manufacturer. The Contractor is required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all of its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program. The City of Valparaiso may not contract with a person who is engaged in investment activities in Iran. The Contractor shall provide all required material with its Bid documents and comply with all other provisions. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. ** There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. Contractors shall familiarize themselves with the field conditions and locations in preparation for their bids.
