Reference Number 0000416422 Bid Intent Not Available The University of Utah Facilities team is seeking proposals for a feasibility study to evaluate the renovations, seismic upgrades, roofing upgrades, and amenities to the existing Huntsman Arena located in the western portion of Phase 1 of College Town Magic and at the hub of student housing. Exterior renovations will explore dining and retail amenities around the perimeter and interior evaluations will include seismic upgrades and reconfiguration of seating to reduce the current count of 15,000 seats to accommodate 8000-9000 seats based on overall proforma, and quality of the user experience. Emphasis should focus on visual, technical, acoustic, and aesthetic optimizations creating a unique environment in which to experience all types of events in the structure from all angles and levels. The selected team will be asked to identify the project's financial, technical, and operational viability, including market demand, structural constraints, and ROI. Key areas to cover are budget/funding, construction timeline, ADA compliance, and user capacity to ensure the renovation meets modern standards and community needs. Working with the Master Architect/Planning consultant, Phase 2 scope of CTM incorporates the renovation and construction of Huntsman Arena. Based on the successful innovation and completion of the feasibility study, the selected team will have the opportunity to advance to the programming and design stages of the project. It is required by the University that the Prime firm shall have and maintain a local office for the duration of the project plus 6 years.
