Hazardous materials abatement and demolition of the existing building and foundations will be procured under a separate solicitation and will not be included in this solicitation or the resulting construction contract. Only prequalified general contractors will be invited to participate in a formal lump-sum bid process. Qualifications will be subjected to an internal committee review and evaluation process. Brevity and clarity are appreciated. Top-rated candidates may be invited to an informal interview. The District reserves the right to reject any or all qualifications, waive any informalities or irregularities, and prequalify firms which appear to be in the best interest of the District. All qualifications must be submitted as set forth in the solicitation documents, in the required manner, format, and to the delivery point required. No submittal may be withdrawn after the hour set for opening until sixty days after the opening.
