Sealed bids are requested for the City of Elmira Fire Station Headquarters Generator. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit of five percent (5%) of the total gross sum bid in the form of a bid bond. Cash is not accepted. Bid documents can be obtained from the Empire State Purchasing Group website after registration. Bidders are responsible for obtaining all documents and addenda from the website. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the designated title and received in the Purchasing Department by the specified deadline. Faxed or electronic bids are not accepted. Each bidder must execute and attach the Certification regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, and ensure compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and Equal Opportunity requirements. There is a 5% DBE participation requirement, and W-MBE participation is encouraged. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A pre-bid conference will be held, and attendance is strongly encouraged. Only official bid documents obtained from the specified website are considered valid for receiving addenda information. It is the bidder’s responsibility to check for updates until the response deadline.
